CLASS OF 2012 GRADUATE CAREER NIGHT

Human resource professionalswere available to critique resumes and provide professional advice to graduateswho have already begun their job search. This was a first time pilot program which four reps from a leading staffingcompany, Office Team, presented on Interviewing Skills. A rep from ResponseStaffing spoke on Resume Renovation and Review, and Cheretta Robson presentedon Managing Your Job Search.
An evite was sent to 357recent graduates from the Class of 2012. 30 confirmedattending, there were 18 regrets, and 7 perhaps. Next year a mailing will go out out to maximize advertising and attendance. Unfortunately theweather was monsoon-like and it affected the turnout in volumes. A positive outcome was thatthe recruiter from Office Team, Robert Half International and Account Temps interviewed all of the recent graduates who werein attendance. Networking was also a key part of the evening and recent gradshad the opportunity to engage in conversation about their careers and classesover light refreshments.
